English-Speaking Therapist in East Lyon – Gestalt-Therapy for Expats, Professionals and Adolescents
English-Speaking Therapist in East Lyon
Living in another country often brings more than a change of language. It reshapes daily rhythms, relationships, identity, and the way emotions are expressed — or held back.
When everything around you feels unfamiliar, finding the right words for what you are going through can become difficult. Doing so in a language that is not your own can make it even harder.
You may function well on the outside, while something inside remains unsaid, unsettled, or disconnected. This is often where therapy begins — not to fix, but to make space for what is asking to be heard.
I offer therapy sessions in English in Décines-Charpieu (East Lyon) for people who wish to be met where they are — without having to translate themselves first.
A Space to Speak, Feel, and Make Sense — in Your Own Language
Gestalt therapy is grounded in the present moment and in the quality of the therapeutic relationship. It does not aim to fix or optimise, but to support awareness, contact, and movement.
Together, we work in the here and now, paying attention to what emerges in the relationship — emotions, sensations, thoughts, hesitations.
Gestalt therapy is a therapy of contact and presence: contact with yourself, with your emotions, with your environment, and with the other.
I am fully bilingual in English and French, and sessions can naturally move between languages if that feels right for you.
Working With International Transitions and Life Changes
I welcome adults and adolescents, including:
Expatriates and international residents
Living abroad can raise questions of identity, belonging, stability, and home. Therapy can support you through cultural transitions, relocation stress, or the feeling of being “in between”.
Working adults and international professionals
Stress, burnout, institutional pressure, or a loss of meaning at work often surface in subtle ways. Therapy offers a place to slow down, reconnect, and listen to what is happening beneath performance.
Adolescents in international or bilingual contexts
Adolescence already involves deep transitions. When combined with cultural mobility or international schooling, additional tensions may arise around language, identity, and belonging.
These experiences often carry quiet tensions that deserve time and space to be explored, rather than managed.
About My Background
I am a certified Gestalt practitioner and have worked for nearly twenty years as a teacher, accompanying adolescents in educational settings. These two paths meet in my therapeutic work through attention, patience, listening, and respect for each person’s rhythm.
My own life path has been shaped by cultural mixing, stories of exile, transitions, and living abroad. This lived experience informs the way I meet others — without assumptions, with openness and care.
I am also trained as a Mental Health First Aider, another way of contributing to a more attentive and supportive world.

Therapy in English, without the extra effort
Finding the right words for your emotions is hard enough. Doing it in a second language shouldn’t be an extra burden.
